NIGHT HUMIDITY CONTROL
When the sun goes down or lights turn off, air temperature falls and relative humidity spikes. Lowering relative humidity below 50% at night in large rooms demands commercial size dehumidifiers.
A properly sized dehumidifier removes moisture load at the desired night temperature and relative humidity in your facility. If you want to maintain 72F degrees at 50% relative humidity, you must know the rating of the dehumidifier at those conditions. A dehumidifier rated at 200 pints a day in warm, humid conditions may only remove a few pints an hour in cool, dry overnight environments. Undersizing dehumidifiers results in high humidity levels just as an undersized air conditioner can’t control daytime room temperature.
